AFTERCARE

Please follow these after care steps to have the best healing process and tattoo outcome.

It’s now your responsibility to ensure that your tattoo is kept as clean as possible throughout the healing process. This is especially important in the first 3 days. Make sure you wash your hands before touching your tattoo and avoid any contact with dirty surfaces. Use clean sheets and towels when sleeping and drying.

Day 1

3-4 hours after leaving the tattoo studio carefully remove the cling film, wash the excess ink and let the tattoo breath. Then moisture the tattoo and wrap again with cling film. When washing the tattoo make sure to pat dry, do not rub your tattoo.

Repeat this before bed.

Day 2

Wash 2-3 time a day and apply moisturiser when completely dry. Make sure to apply light thin layers - do not over cream or apply thick layers as this can cause bacteria buildup which can lead to infection.

Day 3-6

Redness should start to fade, and your tattoo will start looking duller / cloudier, please don’t panic! This is a normal part of the healing process. Scabbing is normal but should not be thick. Please do not pick or scratch your tattoo during this process as this can cause scarring and damage to the tattoo. Continue to moisturise your tattoo throughout the day.

Day 6-14

Scabs will start flaking off, but avoid picking or pulling the scabs off to prevent ink fallout and scarring. Your tattoo will likely feel very itchy but it is helpful to use moisturiser to relieve the itch. Please do not scratch!

Day 14-30

In the last stage of healing, most of the flakes should have gone. The tattoo may still look dry, dull and shiny, but just keep moisturising and staying hydrated. By the end of your third month post session, the tattoo will look bright and vivid again.
